ELECTRICAL HAZARD AWARENESSÂ TRAINING WITH INSULATED PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT TREE CLIMBING
In this course attendees will learn knowledge, and techniques required by tree workers to work safely around outside electrical hazards such as high voltage power lines and related equipment. Electrical hardware and hazard identification, as well as mitigation techniques for managing risks associated with electrical hazards will be taught. Identification of different electrical safety standards and their requirements will be explained and discussed. Electrical Insulated Protective Equipment (IPE) for Tree Work Operations section will provide awareness of special knowledge, skills, and tools used by tree workers to safely work around outside electrical hazards such as high voltage power lines and related hardware & equipment. Insulated Protective Equipment (IPE) such as electrically rated pole tools commonly used by line- clearance tree workers will be focused on. Selection, care, maintenance and testing of tree-worker electrical insulated protective equipment will be covered and techniques, testing, and equipment requirements will be explained and demonstrated by instructors.
